this Ipod rules my ass!
I went and bought an Ipod today. I thought I was going to hold out and not succumb to Apple’s whims or something but alas, I couldn’t. Lugging around my loads of CDs was really getting to be a drag for me, so I decided to just splurge and get myself a little black 30GB baby that is currently uploading all of my music on my computer (kind of by accident) but oh, well.
Anyway, I went off to RadioShack and got the new toy and the saleswoman was going crazy trying to shove all kinds of crap down my throat like the “extended warranty” (that usually doesn’t amount to a hill of shit) and all kinds of ipods protectors for like ten dollars (which I could off the street here in the city for like a dollar apiece). When I backed off of buying it, she copped an attitude but I could care less.
So yeah, I’ll be trying to get acquainted with this new piece of electronica that will allow me to escape the stresses and BS of my surroundings. Yay.
man….i’ve been an ipod junkie since 2003. but i have to watch myself. sometimes i get so lost in the music I forget my surroundings and lose touch with the world.
and J, why didn’t you wait and let santa bring it for you?
Absolute Yay! That’s great, J! I think you will fall in love with this little baby over and over again. This is more than a toy, it will be a sanity saver for you.

yeah, i plan on watching myself so i don’t become an Ipod Zombie. i don’t plan on having it on the subway or while i’m out and about because i like to be aware of my environment and need to know if i have to break out and flee or something.
Santa? yeah, Santa doesn’t stop by the crib anymore now that i’m 28…soon to be 29. he told me that i’m on my own.
A butt tat….must look into that. nowadays, you can have your ipod engraved. i should have the This Ipod Rules My Ass put on there.
mp3 players are cool. what? was that not a significant comment?? That’s all I have though. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it though. I don’t have an ipod, but my ipod imitation is great.
Don’t those little pod headphones hurt your ears? They KILL mine. I must have small ear holes. God knows that the only thing small on me these days with all the damn chocolate and goodies around the office, not to mention all the Christmas parties and stuff. I should have kept my recipe blog, I’ve gained 10 pounds since I gave it up. Perhaps I’ll start a new one after the first of the year…yeah maybe I’ll do that.

I sooo want an Ipod. You can have other nifty gadgets for your ipod! I think that’s what I like best. My phone plays Itunes, and I use my ear pieces and all that… but to have music play to the open, it’s good, it’s loud, but I’d like better. Is that too much to ask???
Yo J!! Welcome to the revolution. LOL I just became a member myself. I was going to save up and buy one, but a couple of weeks ago my company gave us ALL an iPod Shuffle for FREE. I thought I was on Oprah or something. “you get an ipod, you get an ipod!!!”
Okay here’s a little secret…Yes Bluez628 those little iPod earphones suck. But Sony has earphones they sell that are amazing. They are little bulbs that fit right in your ear and really seperate you from the rest of the world. I don’t understand why Apple hasn’t jumped on this bandwagon but most of my friends and I have the Sony joints and life is so sweet with these miracle phones!
rain: the only requirement for a cool mp3 player be it ipod or not is that it rules your ass.
bluez and yihh: yeah those earbuds are a little painful but i will be going out and getting some softer ones.

Oh, I wanted to add, the earbuds weren’t too bad in the beginning. They would get uncomfortable after a while, but now I can’t even get them to stay in! I’ll have to check out Sony’s products for something compatible with my phone.
